How to Make Decorations on Your Facebook Status
When posting a status update on Facebook, you can always just enter a few words and be done with it. That's what most people do. It may be boring, but it's quick and it works. If that's not for you, however, you can put a bit more time into it and decorate your update. By adding a pattern of special characters and punctuation marks before and after your update, you can leave a fancy expression of your personality along with your current mood or location.

1
Launch a Web browser and visit Facebook.com. Enter your email address and password and click "Log In." Click within the field marked "What's on your mind."

2
Enter a string of special characters in a pattern that resembles something interesting. For example, type "><(((*>," which looks like a fish, or "\m/ (>.<) \m/," which looks like a rock salute. You can also try something like "`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••._.•," which just makes a pattern.
