How to Write a Paper on a Mission Statement

A mission statement should be a statement about exactly what you intend to do with the program, class, group, or whatever else the mission statement is for. Anything that has a purpose should have a mission statement. Writing a paper on a mission statement allows you to go in depth with the mission statement and explain it fully.

Instructions

    • 1

Plan what the mission of your group is. The mission is the main idea: What is your group doing or what does it plan to do? The mission is the main point. Examples of missions might be to provide education, to cater to the homeless or to educate young people.

    • 2

Create a mission statement to go along with your mission. A statement might be "Catering to the education of young persons after school" or "Feeding the homeless in a safe and compassionate manner."

    • 3

Write a paper based around your mission statement. In your paper, explain each part of your mission statement. Then, use each paragraph of your paper to explain how you plan to make your mission statement work. Explain the details of your program, and relate each of the things you do back to your mission statement.
