How to Get a Castform in "Diamond"
Castform is a a unique Pokemon that has the ability to change its Pokemon-type and appearance according to the weather. On "Pokemon Diamond," Castform is only available after you've received the National PokeDex (by seeing all 150 Pokemon in the region) and as an event Pokemon. An event Pokemon is a Pokemon that can only be caught during a certain day or time of day. The Pokemon Mansion along Route 212 features various types of Pokemon, such as Castform, which can be caught in the Trophy Garden at the back of the mansion.

Walk, bike or fly to Veilstone City. Press the "Start" button and select "Map" to see your current location in relation to Veilstone City. Head to the bottom (south) section of the city and enter Route 212 as indicated by the road sign.

Follow the route until you reach the Pokemon Mansion building. Enter the mansion.

Walk to the right and enter the room at the end of the hallway. Because the game randomizes which Pokemon are available, save the game before you talk to the owner. Talk to the owner and answer "Yes" to all his questions. He will tell you what Pokemon are in the Trophy Garden that day. If he does not mention Castform, reload the saved game and talk to him again until he mentions Castform.

Go to the Trophy Garden at the back of the mansion and walk around until you encounter Castform. Attack Castform using a combination of fighting and ground attacks to weaken it and throw an Ultra Ball to catch it.
