How to Stand Like a Male Model
Each modeling agency has its own requirements for what their particular male models must look like, including height, weight and clothing size. All agencies, however, are looking for a man who is able to carry himself well. The way a male model stands should exhibit confidence and strength. Some agencies train male models to stand in a specific way, while others expect models to already be familiar with the proper stance.
Instructions

-
1
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. This helps keep you balanced without being spread too far apart.
-
2
Flex your knees slightly as you stand. If you lock your knees, you increase the risk of passing out.
-
-
3
Stand with your back straight and your shoulders held back. Good posture is necessary for many modeling agencies.
-
4
Complete the pose as specified by your agency or the job which you are working. This may include placing your hands in your pockets, shifting your weight to one foot or the other, crossing your arms or holding one arm in front of you. If nothing is specified, stand as naturally as possible unless instructed otherwise.
-
5
Keep your face serious unless the photographer or your agency instructs you to smile or wear a different expression.
