How to Transfer RoboForm From Firefox to Chrome

The RoboForm password manager saves your passwords and other login data on your computer. If you are using the full toolbar, the RoboForm extensions in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and other Web browsers share the same log-in data. The RoboForm Lite extensions don't offer export or import functionality. RoboForm Lite for Firefox saves your data on your computer, but RoboForm Lite for Chrome can't access or import the saved data. The full RoboForm toolbar saves your data on your computer and keeps it synchronized between all Web browsers.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the Full RoboForm Toolbar installer from the RoboForm for Chrome page on RoboForm.com/Platforms.

    • 2

Install the Full RoboForm Toolbar by double-clicking the "RoboForm-Setup.exe" file on your computer and clicking "Run."

    • 3

Click "Next" and select "Install" to install extensions for all Web browsers on your computer.

    • 4

Save any important data in any Web browser windows, and click the "Install" button again to close all open Web browser windows. RoboForm finishes installing automatically.

    • 5

Open Google Chrome and click the "RoboForm" icon on the toolbar to access your RoboForm data. You can also right-click the "RoboForm" icon in your system tray to access your RoboForm data from outside a Web browser.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can export your RoboForm data to a file you can import on other computers if you're using the Full RoboForm Toolbar. Right-click the "RoboForm" icon in your system tray, select "Options." Click "User Data" at the left side of the options window and click "Backup" to create a backup file. You can import a backup file on another computer by clicking the "Restore" button to the right of the Backup button on the User Data pane.
