How to Make a Broadhead or Spearhead for Survival
The sharpened tip of a spear is designed for hunting. Its primary use on larger animals is to penetrate the lungs and organs. For smaller animals, like fish and rabbit, it provides a quick kill with little to no carnage. In the wilderness, one way to hunt and remain inconspicuous is by using a spear.

Draw an arrow with a felt-tip marker 2 inches from the tip or end of a butter knife. You're drawing the arrow because you will saw around the drawing to shape your spear. The point of the arrow should be 1 inch long and the shaft one inch.
Place the flat end of the butter knife in vise grip. Place tip of knife 2 inches into the vise grip and tighten. Bend knife by the handle until it breaks, leaving the 2-inch tip, the metal piece, in the vise.

Turn 2-inch metal piece around with arrow facing up. Tighten the bottom inch in the vise grip. The vise grip will hold the two-inch metal piece firmly in place. Using the metal saw, saw both left and right corners to align with the sketch of the arrow. File to shape and sharpen the arrowpoint. This is the tip of your spear.
Make a broadhead arrowhead by using a thicker piece of metal. File a 4-inch piece of metal in vise grip. Shape and sharpen with metal saw and file.
