DIY Catch Can

Drivers can use the sight tube on the side of the can to decide when to drain it.

Oil catch cans are cans placed in cars to catch the excessive build-up of carbon and sludge from the intake system and the engine. Catch cans prevent the collection of such byproducts from gumming up the valve train, turbo, plumbing and intercooler. Such build up could also reduce the efficiency of the intercooler. Hence, the oil catch can allows the car to be cleaner, have more power and run more smoothly. Oil catch cans are easy to make at home and use in your own car.
