How to Fold a Snowflake Shape

Knowing how to fold a snowflake shape can come in handy to help with decorations around the winter season or holidays. The shape is appropriate for display on the window or dining room table for decoration. It is a shape you can create out of paper or a napkin. Select a winter-theme patterned paper or napkin, such as snowflakes, and it will give the folded shape an even more delightful appearance.

Things You'll Need

• Origami paper or square-shaped fabric napkin

Instructions

1. Place the front side of the origami paper face down.

2. Fold the paper in half vertically and horizontally and unfold.

3. Fold the paper in half diagonally both ways and unfold.

4. Place each corner to the center of the paper.

5. Turn the paper to the other side and fold each corner to the center. Turn the paper back to the other side and fold those corners to the center.

6. Turn the paper over to see four squares with two triangles in each square.

7. Lift the opening flaps of the triangles on each square and push it outward and down to form the snowflake shape.
