  • Wood filler
  • Putty knife
  • 220-grit sandpaper
  • Exterior paint
  • Paint roller
  • Paint tray
  • Paint stick

      Fill gaps between boards with wood filler from both the exterior and interior of the outhouse. Scoop wood filler over the cracks and smooth over with a putty knife. Allow filler to dry for 24 hours before continuing.

      Sand down the wood filler with 220-grit sandpaper to create a smooth, paintable finish.

      Pour mixed paint into a paint tray and apply an even finish over the outhouse. Roll paint onto the interior and exterior of the outhouse using a paint roller. Allow paint to dry for one to two hours, then apply a second coat of paint.
