How to Make My Own Petz on "Petz V"
"Petz 5" is a simulation game published by Ubisoft and released in 2005 for the PC. It is a compilation game that features both "Catz 5" and "Dogz 5." Playing the game requires the player to adopt a Petz and raise it from a "Kittenz" or "Puppyz," playing mini-games along the way. A new feature in "Petz 5" is the ability of the Petz to mate and have a litter of up to four unique puppies or kittens. Previous versions only allowed the Petz to have one offspring. Making your Petz requires mating your Petz with another one.

Choose to play either "Catz 5" or "Dogz 5." Go to the animal shelter and adopt your Petz. Choose between several available breeds, such as Russian Blue, Black & White Shorthair or Tabby for "Catz" and Poodle, German Shepherd and Scottish Terrier for "Dogz." There are 15 breeds available in each game.

Raise your Petz to adulthood. This includes feeding, grooming and all other aspects of having a pet.

Locate a mate. Other Petz, owned by fictitious people, are available. You can also adopt another Petz on your own to mate -- raising two Petz is as difficult in the game as it is in real life. Choose a suitable Petz to mate with yours.

Encourage mating. Players can do this through the use of perfumes and love potions. When you see a heart on the screen, a successful mating has occurred and a new Petz will be born within five days.

Name your new Petz and start to raise it.
