How to Get Invited to a Yahoo! Group

Online discussion groups, such as Yahoo! Groups, enable Internet users to communicate with others who share their interests. Although some Yahoo! Groups are open to the public, others are private and users cannot join unless they are invited to do so. If you have found a private Yahoo! Group that you would like to join, you will find that getting invited to join the group merely requires filling out a specific form.

Instructions

1. Find the Yahoo! Group that you would like to join. You can search for groups either by keyword or category on Yahoo! Groups.

2. Click the "Join This Group" button at the top-right of the group's page.

3. Scroll down the join page and fill out the form to be invited to join the group. Depending on the group, you may need to list some reasons why you want to join the group.

4. Select whether to receive individual emails for each message in the group or a daily digest that includes all messages in one email.

5. Click "Join Now" to request an invitation to the group. Check your Yahoo! email account for the invitation email. Click the "Join" link within the email to accept the invitation to the group.
