How to Get Wireless Working in Fios

The Verizon FiOS DSL service provides broadband Internet connection for the computers in your home or office. The FiOS service includes a DSL gateway that combines the functions of a DSL modem and wireless router into one device, so you don't have to go out and buy additional hardware to connect multiple computers. Once your FiOS is set up, it will take only a few clicks of the mouse to get your wireless working.

Instructions

    • 1

Look at the side of your FiOS gateway and find the Network Information sticker attached to the side of the device. Write down the SSID and WEP Key information on the sticker. The SSID is the wireless name attributed to the gateways network and the WEP key is the password to join the network.

Click the "SSID" of your FiOS gateway in the list of available networks that appears. Type in the WEP key into the password prompt that opens and click "Connect" to establish a wireless connection to your FiOS service.
