1
Paint most of the walls in the room one main color such as forest green, plum, lavender or baby blue.
-
2
Paint a large fantasy-themed mural on one main wall. You can do the work yourself or hire someone to bring your vision to life. Create a mural that showcases the fantasy world you want to create in the room. A forest mural can include mushrooms, fairies and exotic plants. If you choose a space theme, highlight big blue and orange stars, and vivid planets. Paint the mural and then add special effects with glow-in-the-dark paint. Paint additional glow-in-the-dark stars or use this paint to outline plants, flowers and fairies in the mural. Allow the paint to dry.

-
3
Spray a thin coat of spray-on glue onto some of the flowers, fairies and other objects in the mural. Sprinkle glitter on these images to sparkle even more during the daytime.
-
4
Buy a canopy bed to go in your fantasy room and place it in a location that allows you to see the mural clearly while lying in bed. Adorn the bed with romantic silk and lace bedding, plush pillows and soft throw blankets that match the color scheme in the room. Buy purple and green bedding if your mural includes shades of purple and forest green.
-
5
Buy a gauze canopy that matches the color scheme. Glue fake pearls and silk flowers all over the canopy and use ribbon to tie additional silk roses on all four posts of the bed.
-
6
Hang up framed romantic photos on other walls that blend well with the mural. Bring in other accents such as a crystal bowl full of rose petals and an antique mirror and brush set. Place these little treasures on your nightstand or dresser.
