Foot detox pads are applied to the soles of the feet, sticky side toward the skin as the pads are self-sticking. Each pad contains a variety of natural herbs and minerals that are suppose to have extracting potential. These herbs and minerals are bamboo vinegar, which helps the body release waste products through the pores of the skin; tourmaline, a mineral that releases negative ions, vitamin C, chitosan, dextrin, vegetable fiber, loquat leaf, dokudami and wood vinegar. The detox pads are applied to the soles of the feet at night to be removed in the morning. When removed the pads should be stained dark brown from the toxins being extracted from the body through the skin, evidence that the foot pads are working.
Toxins Removal
It is possible that some of the brown stain is caused by the natural interaction of the bamboo vinegar and sweat from the skin. Bamboo vinegar turns brown when it contacts water, so some of the stain may be caused by the contents of the pad itself. But with each passing day, the treatment should cause the pads to be less stained. This means that there are fewer toxins left in the body after each new treatment. It is often claimed that foot pads can remove heavy metal toxins from the body through the skin as well, but science negates that these toxins can be removed by the foot patches. These heavy metals are usually removed with internal chelation nutrients that bind with metal to remove it from the body through the bowels and bladder.
Reflexology
The detox patches are based on reflexology, the belief that certain organs of the body can be treated or healed through foot massage, using pressure points to heal the body. Applying the foot detox patch to the sole of the foot connects with these pressure points and the organs they effect.
