    Pre-inspection and Spot Cleaning

  1. Carpets should be professionally cleaned at least once a year (more often if you have pets). This will extend the life of the carpet and remove lingering and offensive odors contained in their deep fibers. Professional carpet cleaners will initially inspect for stains and flattened traffic areas that need special attention. They apply a spray spot cleaner, get down on their hands and knees, and use a special brush to lift and/or loosen stains in preparation for steam cleaning.
  2. Room Preparation for Carpet Cleaning

  3. Steam cleaning can be contracted for full rooms or only the center of rooms. Those that contract for carpet cleaning entire rooms will have their furniture moved away from walls to clean carpets underneath. The furniture will be put back with little blocks under each leg, lifting it for faster drying. Cleaning only the center of a room involves only walking areas that can be seen. This should be determined and discussed when signing the carpet cleaning contract. There is a difference in price for each carpet cleaning function.
  4. Steam Cleaning and Speed Drying

  5. Cleaned colorful carpet

Once the preparation and pre-cleaning carpet treatments are completed, the carpet will be steam cleaned. Two processes are at work at the same time -- one is the steam cleaning and the other is the extraction of the water. This, along with drying fans, remove most of the moisture from the carpets, making it quicker to walk on. Cleaned carpets should be ready to be stepped on without shoes immediately and with shoes in about two hours.
