After installing Firefox, you expected a new computing experience, only to click an email and find the same Outlook Express opening. That's because Firefox is just a Web browser, not a complete suite of programs. If you want a default email client other than Outlook Express, you have to install an email client other than Outlook Express and set it as your default mail client.
Setting Your Default

Firefox uses Windows' default mail client as its mail client, so whatever client Windows is set to use as a default will be the system-wide setting. To change this setting, open Internet Explorer. Click "Tools," then "Internet Options," then the "Programs" tab. There will be a drop-down menu where you can select whatever program you want as your default email client.
