Why Global Warming Is a Myth
-
The Basics
-
"Global warming" is the term scientists have given to the rising temperature of the earth's surface and oceans in the last 200 or so years. Certain scientists and politicians have claimed that the earth's temperature is rising and will continue to do so due to interference by man, which will lead to catastrophic results if left unchecked. Among the downsides that go along with global warming are regular and severe thunderstorms and a daily temperature so hot that going outside would be deadly.
Sea Levels
-
One naturally occurring event that supporters claim is a sign of global warming is the rise of the earth's sea levels. In reality, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has found that no significant increase in the earth's sea levels has occurred in recent history, and in general any rise is naturally occurring and has been known to happen between ice ages.

CO2
-
Global warming supporters claim that a main cause of the phenomenon is the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere. They claim that environmentally unfriendly cars produce far too much CO2, which in turn damages the atmosphere and increases global warming. While there is an increase of CO2 in the atmosphere, historically these levels have increased after the temperature of the earth has risen, not before. Therefore, history itself has proved that rising CO2 levels couldn't possibly have anything to do with global warming.
