Building a Modular Garage

Building
-
Building the modular garage is a project that takes a couple of days to complete. The builder needs only the prefabricated parts from a modular garage or modular building kit. The ground is first leveled out by tractor. The foundation for a modular garage is set by laying floating concrete footing (on a level surface of earth). Steel panels are erected, including arches. The overlap is set in place, and the arches are raised. The arrangement is bolted into the foundation. Walls are set in place and secured. Doors and window are inserted and secured by bolting them into the wall openings.
Deciding factors
-
Modular garages are made of either steel or wood (possibly both). Wood looks nicer than metal, but is not as portable as metal modular garages, so the home or business owner will decide on how the modular garage is going to be built in advance (i.e. attached to or separated from the home). Weather resistance is another deciding factor; wood tends to win out over steel modular garages. The buyer will decide on the type of modular garage, depending on the function or purpose the extra structure will serve. Tools are easily stored in a small modular garage. Lawn mowers and gardening equipment requires a medium space. An airplane, on the other hand, is going to require a large modular garage (and will be made of steel, not wood). Small steel buildings will be built either by the owner or a professional modular garage manufacturer.

Steel
-
For industrial and manufacturing businesses, the type of modular garage will be made of steel. A floor plan is decided on before purchasing the garage. Also, a foundation is laid out on the ground where the steel modular garage is going to be placed. Plumbing and ventilation is prefabricated with the design of the steel modular garage. Steel modular garages add more warehouse footage for storing equipment and shipping items.
Wood
-
Wood modular garages are smaller than their steel cousins but are more weather durable. Wooden modular garages have the added benefit of being compatible with residences (as long as the structure of the garage is not overly large). A home owner will decide whether the wood modular garage is going to be attached or separately built from the house. Wood modular garages will work better in colder climates than steel garages, and tend to be less offensive to residential communities.
