Hydraulic systems use hydraulic fluid to make machines and vehicles work. Hydraulic fluid is a high powered fluid that is transmitted through machines, and is designed to power cylinders and motors throughout the machine or vehicle. This fluid liquid makes the machines work, and allows you to add as much force as you desire. To add hydraulic power to your machine, change one of the pistons and cylinders, and make them relative to one another. Use Pi x r2 and plug the size of the piston into this formula. Once you have determined the numerical difference, you will raise one piston this amount, and decompress the other piston to reach the desired power in your hydraulic system.

Hydraulics systems work because force is applied at a certain point. Hydraulic fluid transmits the force to a second point in the machine. There are two oil-filled pistons that fit into cylinders, and a pipe filled with oil connects the two of them together. One of the pistons will be forced down, and the force is transmitted through the oil pipe causing the second piston to move downward. This process continues to happen over and over again; making the hydraulic system in your machine work effectively.
