How Do Dog Tag Silencers Work?
-
Why Dogs Bark
-
Many dogs bark because they are bored. To keep your dog happy and quiet, walk your dog at regular intervals and give it plenty of exercise with a routine schedule. When you are away, leave toys or bones. Take care of the basic needs. Leave enough food and water and give it a nice, comfy place to sleep where it cannot see people or hear lots of noises. When you return, give your dog a big hug. Also, train your dog not to bark. Give your dog a very simple "Quiet" command and strong tap on the nose each time it barks.
Citronella Spray Collar
-
Anti-barking spray collars work best for a dog who does not bark continuously. When your dog barks, a microphone in the collar senses the sound and automatically sprays a citronella-scented gas up to its muzzle. The spray will continue at intervals if barking does not stop. Your dog will stop barking, so it will not be sprayed.

Pulse Collar
-
A pulse collar is best for a dog that is very stubborn, when nothing else stops its continuous barking. When a dog barks, this collar emits a mild electric output that is like a static shock. It does not hurt the dog. The shock lasts just a second. It is used only to interrupt the dog's pattern of barking.
Ultrasonic Systems
-
Ultrasonic devices are installed within 25 feet of where your dog is located outdoors. They don't go indoors. You can put it on a tree, fence or around your house. When your dog barks, it triggers an automatic ultrasonic tone. This sound makes the dog alert and stops its barking. When you are home, you can use the device by remote. When your dog barks, press the remote and emit the ultrasonic tone.
