The Mega Growth hair product line is produced by the Profectiv company and is focused toward African-American women who wish to promote healthy, strong hair growth. Mega Growth Pro Growth Stimulating Shampoo is one product out of several that promise to increase strand resilience and help scalp growth.
Sold in major pharmacies and online, Mega Growth shampoo includes a long list of ingredients. The 12-oz. bottle costs around $4.99, which is in keeping with comparable specialty hair products, and should be followed by Deep Strengthening Growth Conditioner.

The Walgreen's pharmacy page lists many ingredients, including a "Pro-Growth Complex" composed of naturally-derived items. The shampoo makes the conditions of the scalp more hospitable to healthy hair growth. However, it won't produce hair itself. For that, it would have to contain scientifically-proven medicines and be certified as a drug by the FDA for sale. Furthermore, it would be prescription-only, much like Rogaine in its earliest days.
