    Dual Exhaust System

  1. Many stock Dodge Hemi pickups come standard with a factory-installed single exhaust system. A single exhaust system is standard on most light trucks and cars, and although there is nothing inherently wrong with a single exhaust system, a dual exhaust system (two exhaust pipes exiting an engine) increases engine horsepower and increases gas mileage. A Dodge Hemi pickup, which is powered by a Mopar high-performance hemispherical-shaped engine, or Hemi, would gain significant horsepower with the addition of a dual exhaust system.
  2. High-Flow Catalytic Converter

  3. A catalytic converter, which is an exhaust emissions "afterburner" responsible for igniting and reburning unburned exhaust gases exiting a vehicle's engine, results in a slight loss of engine power due to the constrictive effects a converter has on exiting engine emissions. High-flow catalytic converters, which are designed to be much less restrictive but just as effective as stock catalytic converters, increase engine horsepower by eliminating engine drag caused by exhaust restriction. High-flow catalytic converters are ideal for high-performance type engines. A Dodge Hemi pickup truck would gain a noticeable increase in horsepower with the addition of a high-flow catalytic converter.
  4. High-Rise Intake Manfiold

  5. A high-rise, or performance, intake manifold is a special type of intake manifold designed to facilitate fuel delivery and flow out of a vehicle's carburetor or fuel injection system as it enters a vehicle's engine. Most cars and light trucks come standard with factory intake manifolds, which are more restrictive in design and function. A Dodge Hemi pickup truck would gain a significant performance boost with the addition of a high-rise intake manifold.
  6. High-Flow Air Filter

  7. A high-flow, or performance, air filter is a special type of air filter that is less restrictive to air flow than a traditional factory air filter. A high-flow air filter allows for more air to be sucked directly into an engine during engine operation, a property that increases engine combustion and engine horsepower. A high-flow air filter installed in place of a factory-installed air filter on a Dodge Hemi pickup truck would increase engine performance and power.
