Mapquest is a website that is dedicated to helping you perceive the world around you and get the most out of it. It generates maps of anywhere in the world, provides detailed driving directions from point A to point B and beyond, and can find shops and resources in any area. Start with an address or plan a trip around the world: Mapquest can help you get the information you need.
Start Address

Type in an address and click the "Search" button. A map will appear on a new page; it can be viewed either as a digital map or as a satellite image. It's also possible to zoom in or out, and you can display the current traffic in the area. From this page, you can search for the nearest hotel, restaurant or other business.

Driving Directions

Mapquest can generate driving directions if two or more addresses are typed in. At the top of the Mapquest page, click on the "Directions" icon. From there, type in the starting and ending addresses, or click on the "Routing Options" link if you're planning a multidestination road trip. When all the information has been typed in, click "Get Directions" and Mapquest will provide step-by-step driving directions, along with the total distance, estimated time and any nearby businesses you're interested in.
Cheap Gas

Another favorite feature of Mapquest is gas prices. Click on the red "Gas Prices" button at the top of the page, select the type of fuel you're looking for and your location, and click the "Search" button. Mapquest will identify the lowest gas prices in the area.
