Solar lights operate via rechargeable batteries that are empowered by sunlight through the solar panel. Hence, there is no need to continually purchase batteries. To extend the life of the battery, it is a good idea to occasionally turn off the solar component for about three to four successive days allowing the battery to recharge in direct sunlight. By doing this, the battery will receive an intense and complete battery charge.

Solar lighting is fitting to be used within remote locations and they can be used in all types of weather. However, in areas where there are snow, rain, or wind storms throughout the fall and winter season, it may be a good idea to store your solar lighting away throughout these seasons. If solar lighting is used in areas where there is not a lot of rain or snow, solar lighting can be used throughout the entire year.
