In addition to these managerial duties, of course, such owners are responsible for franchise duties such as local advertising and market research.

Smoothie King franchise owners who decide not to self-manage their store often own more than one location. They spend their days monitoring their managers to make sure that they are running their Smoothie Kings optimally. These owners are also responsible for franchise duties such as training their managers, advertising locally, doing market research and running the financial aspects of their business. While owners who don't personally manage their Smoothie King location may have less work and more flexible hours, it bears mentioning that they need to pay their managers a decent salary and remain vigilant that their franchise is being run properly at all times.
