    What is Hair Removal Wax?

  1. Waxing is a popular hair removal technique known for its reliability and lasting results. Hair wax can be used for removing eyebrow, face and lip hair as well as larger sections like legs and bikini area. Hair removal wax is made from beeswax and sometimes contains rosin, canola oil and a skin soothing ingredient like aloe.
  2. How It Works

  3. Hair removal wax is heated either in the microwave or on the stovetop. The wax melts and becomes very soft and pliable. The wax is then applied to the skin in the direction of hair growth and then covered with paper or cloth, depending on the method. The wax is then removed swiftly in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Because the wax is applied when warm and soft, it adheres to any hair on the skin's surface. When the wax is pulled off quickly, it removes the hair along with it, pulling hair out from the root.
  4. Usage and Tips

  5. It is best to use hair removal wax on hair at least 3/8-inch long. It is very important to apply the wax in the same direction of the hair growth to ensure complete removal. Holding the skin taut as the hair is removed in the opposite direction makes sure that the wax pulls the hair out as it is removed. Using wax is an effective and straightforward way to remove unwanted hair.
