Typical Workday
-
A wedding coordinator spends a typical workday planning every aspect of the wedding after discussing her clients' needs and wants.
Early in the day the coordinator makes calls to various vendors and establishments to arrange for meetings. The coordinator works with the flower arranger, the cake bakery, the location manage and limousine service and also tries to get a few discounts for her clients during negotiations.
The coordinator helps the client book the banquet hall and limousine driver for the pre-determined wedding date.
Other daily duties include making sure that all the details such as invitations, centerpieces and flower bouquets are ready and delivered on schedule.
The wedding coordinator must stay on top of all parties involved in putting the wedding together to make sure that nothing is left to the last minute. Before the workday is over the coordinator ties up any loose ends. -
