  1. Portable DVD players play DVDs using a digital scanner eye. The scanner eye is located inside the DVD player, and it scans the DVD as it turns. Then, it transfers the images to the screen.
  2. Batteries

  3. A portable DVD player usually runs on batteries. It works the same way as a regular DVD player works, but only running on batteries. The batteries are found in the back of the player and they are what controls the player. If the batteries are low, the player will not work as it should.
  4. Features

  5. There are many different features that portable DVD players have, other than the fact that they are portable. They have buttons on the actual player to control the functions, such as forward, backward, play and stop.
