    • Birds spread the seeds of the fruit

Grapefruit trees produce a delicious fruit which contains many seeds. As the fruit ripens on the tree, birds, squirrels and other wildlife will eat the fallen fruit and may fly to another location to deposit the seeds. The seed will begin to grow, if it has been dropped in fairly good soil with a water source. Once the tree grows, the process begins again.

    By Man

    • Grapefruit seeds can also be planted by farmers. They are generally planted in seed trays where they are given water and sunlight. Once several leaves have formed, the farmer or gardener can then plant them in a pre-dug hole in the soil, cover well with rich soil and water.

    By Nature

    • The grapefruit also falls from the trees and regenerates when the seeds inside eventually get covered with soil and sprout new trees. These trees will grow and produce fruits and the cycle begins again.
