AARP offers a legal networking service that includes a directory of attorneys. AARP Financial helps guide members with investments. AARP members can even get discounts on wireless service.

Close to your fiftieth birthday, you will receive an invitation from AARP to join. If not, you can go online to Aarp.com and apply. On the homepage, there is a link for membership. Click the link and it will take you to the Membership page. Click the "Join AARP Now" link and it will direct you to the application page. You need to supply your name and address and if you want a one, two, three, or five-year membership. Then you click Billing. Membership for spouses or partners is free, so remember to include your spouse or partner's name in the provided spaces.
- Once you become a member of AARP, you will receive the monthly AARP magazine and AARP bulletin, but you will also become familiar with all the services AARP offers as well as other organizations affiliated with AARP. AARP is part of an organization called Divided We Fail. This organization works to find help for health care and financial security for its members.
