  1. Sam's Club is a wholesale retail market geared toward small business owners. Items are sold in bulk, and only members of the club can shop in Sam's Club stores. The bulk items in the store give members the benefit of saving on such goods as food, jewelry, clothing, electronics and accessories, but there are many more benefits that come along with a Sam's Club membership.

  3. Memberships come in three categories: Advantage, Business and Plus Memberships. The Business membership costs $35 a year. It offers "Gold Keys" shopping, special pricing on vehicles, 50 percent off on checks printed, up to 16 percent off on some FedEx services, 12 percent off on some FedEx ground services, 15 percent off on some FedEx Kinko's business services. At an additional $15 a month, these members can become part of the Sam's Club Medical and Health Discounts Program, which offers up to 50 percent on health services. The membership also offers a 30 percent discount on health insurance, roadside assistance and a complimentary start-up website.
    The Business Plus membership costs $100 a year. It offers "Gold Keys" shopping, 16 add-on membership cards, 2 percent cash back with Sam's Club's Discover Card, five free vehicle history reports and two free online member classified ads, special pricing on vehicles, 70 percent off on checks printed, up to 21 percent off on some FedEx services, 15 percent off on some FedEx ground services, and 20 percent off on some FedEx Kinko's business services. These members can also become part of the Sam's Club Medical and Health Discounts Program for free, which offers up to 50 percent off on health services. This membership also offers a $150 savings on HRA set-up fees and an employer benefits website. There is no monthly service for merchant credit card processing and members receive free debit Pin Pad discounts on lines of credit, a $100 travel certificate, free roadside assistance and up to 50 percent off on a start-up website.

In addition to saving money by buying in bulk, Sam's Club members are privy to discounts on such things as extended auto warranty discounts, discounts on car rentals, discounts on cell phone plans and more. Also, members who are Sam's Club Discover Card cardholders receive up to 2 percent cash back on all of their purchases. In February 2008, over $107 million in checks were sent out to Sam's Club members.
