How Does Stress Affect Divorce?
-
-
Separation from the one you said your vows to can be one of the most stressful times in your life. The stress a divorcee is coping with can affect the divorcee extremely. The ex-spouses can get caught up in their stress and take each other to court for everything, fight for full custody of their kids or even fight for things that they normally not fight for, such as property and material things.

The threats to taking each other to court is a huge cause of stress in a divorce. One spouse may act out on another by saying that he will take her to court if she doesn't work under his conditions. Stress can cause a divorce to be extremely messy and harder to deal with than it would be if stress didn't play a huge part in this experience.

The stress of the custody of the children involved in the divorce can also get messy as well. Both parents want full custody and generally one parent is mad at the other so they don't want the kids to see the other parent. When stress comes into the picture, everything and everyone can and will be affected throughout the divorce.
