I loved the idea of recycling lightbulbs into ornaments. I've tried my hand at it before and even published an eHow article on how to do it, but when I saw this adorable snowman lightbulb ornament made by Jordanestes88, I just had to try it myself.

sprinkling with white glitter. I used a hot glue gun instead of tacky glue for this project, just making sure to let the glue cool a tad before adhering anything to the lightbulb. Obviously, I applied the hot glue onto the object being glued and not directly on the surface of the lightbulb.

Other than that, I kind of winged the rest. I used little scraps of fabric for the hat and scarf, tiny black buttons for the belly. The nose was a smidgen of orange felt and the arms were fashioned from a pipe cleaner. I admit he's not a perfect little snowman, but he's mine and I think he's cute. This was a FUN and quick project.
