I had the idea to design a quick, simple you tube video. My subjuct, THE MINOR PENTATONIC SCALE - but it reality, this design can be carried out for almost anything. It just happens that I am into guitar. My idea was to go to the paint section of my computer, there, I clicked onto "text" and began to put together my...
I then saved it and typed up page two, this time highlighting the root notes, in this case A notes. I then typed up page 3 and showed how the shape stays the same, even as we move the shape up and down the fretboard.
Other pages expanded on how to move the scale around, how to play the same scale but in a different shape, and a listing of the notes along the low E string, important when determining the key your in.
Once I had my pages typed up and saved, I copied them from my photo section where they went to when I saved them, and openned up movie maker on my computer and pasted them in on the set up page. I also pasted in a photo of myself.
Now I clicked onto the "add title" option and gave the piece a nice looking title, and then dragged the pages into the movie maker strip. Once they were all there, I knew the on screen time would be way too short for anyone to have time to read the pages, so I held my mouse pointer at the side of each page on the strip until the little arrow showed, and pulled each page to the right, making the page boxes in the strip about three times longer then they were. This works with photos as well, the longer the time you want something to show on the screen, you make its box longer on the strip.
I already had my own piece of music, so I simply copied it to the set up page, then placed it into the audio strip which is right beneath the video strip. The piece of music was about 30 seconds too long and didn't match the video length, so I simply went to the end of the box showing the music, held my mouse pointer at the end until the little arrow showed, and dragged the box to the left, until its length matched up with the length of the video.
I then published it to my computer, went to You Tube, downloaded it and it is now up.
Now if you were to do this and put together recipes or some other project, and you don't have background music, you can upload your video to you tube and once there, they have the option of adding music that others have posted for you to use.,
The hardest part of this projuct for some would be using movie maker. But if you know your way around movie maker, then this project is a piece of cake.
Below is a link to the finished project, if the link works. I have never done a link here.

Now I explain where the root notes are.
