How singingteacher Did It - How to Find a Voice Teacher

I looked for a vocal coach when I started singing. At first, I learnt with a classical teacher in France -this gave some great first steps to take to ensure that I could form the vowel sounds and project whilst maintaining good singing habits. Then I learnt with Ian Shaw in London which gave some great grounding in breathing, harmony...

vocals and Jazz singing. I had read all about his teaching and I think this is often the best way to find someone, when you can read all about their teaching background. I then ended up being asked myself to be a vocal tutor at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford (in the UK) this followed on with Chichester University and the Brighton Institute of Modern Music!

So, since having had singing lessons myself, all that hard work has paid off as due to the love of singing I now have my own learn-to-sing websites! If you work hard, get great mentors and action what they instruct you to do, there is every chance that you could make your singing career really work for you too!
