Montanita is a town on the coast of Ecuador that offers a high standard of surfing -- with waves up to 6 meters tall -- in a picturesque setting bathed in tropical vegetation and framed by unspoiled sandy beaches and crystal blue Pacific waters. Located 200 kilometres from the city of Guayaquil, it nestles in a cove surrounded by green hills. The town is home to a surf school and a Spanish language school.
