Boys and girls who love horses often dream of becoming race horse jockeys and perhaps racing in the Kentucky Derby one day. If this is your dream, be prepared to train for many years and work long hours to become a professional race horse jockey. You must be at least 16 years old and weigh 110 lbs. or less to be a jockey in the U.S.

Any horse jockey will tell you that their profession isn't simply a job: it's a lifestyle that demands passion and commitment every hour of the day.
