  • Handicapped Restroom Standards

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandates that public facilities be made accessible to people with any kind of disability. Public restrooms are essential facilities that all Americans should be able to use without limitation. The most challenging standard to meet is the space that is needed to accommodate people with wheelchairs.

  • Handicap Restroom Requirements

Public handicap restrooms designed for adults and children must adhere to guidelines set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This applies to handicap facilities installed inside of standard public restrooms. The ADA allows companies to use technologies and designs outside of the guidelines as long as the designs provide the same benefits or better.
