  • How to Make a French 76 Cocktail

The French 76 cocktail is the brandy-based cousin to the classic French 75 cocktail. The French 75 is typically made with cognac, though some bartenders use gin. The basis of all these drinks is the same: alcohol mixed with a bit of simple syrup, lemon juice for a sour kick, and topped off with chilled Brut champagne. This recipe makes two French 76 cocktails, but it is easily altered for more drinks or for a single cocktail.
