  • How to Use Fizzies Candy

In 1957, Emerson Drug Company introduced Fizzies candy to the United States. Fizzies are effervescent tablets that come in various flavors such as cherry, root beer and grape. Once Fizzies are dropped in water, the water becomes flavored and fizzes like a soda. Fizzies are calorie free and sugar free, which makes them an ideal alternative to a regular soft drink.

  • How to Make Fizzies Drinks

Fizzies drink tablets, created in the 1950s, allowed kids to make their own soda by dropping an effervescent tablet into a glass of water. After the Food and Drug Administration banned some artificial sweeteners, Fizzies' formula changed and eventually disappeared from the market. Fizzies drink tablets are now back in the candy aisle and once again you can make your own soda.
