St. Croix is an island in the Caribbean Sea. The largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Croix sits to the southeast of Puerto Rico and the northwest of Guadeloupe. Despite its status as the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Croix measures at a mere 84 square miles. It is 22 miles long and, at its widest point, only six miles across.
