  1. Features

    • The main component of a clothes dryer is the drum. This is where all the wet clothes are placed to dry. In the front or back of the drum or on the top of the dryer you will see the lint trap.

    Heating Elements

    • The back of the dryer includes the elements that are used to heat the appliance. These items will include the thermal fuse, the cycling thermostat and heating element terminals. The power cord is also located at the back.

    Door Latch

    • The door in the front has a door latch installed in it. This door latch must always latch correctly; if it is defective, the dryer will not run.

    Control Panel

    • The front of the dryer on the top is the control panel; this is where you set the timer for the length of drying time. The dryer may also include an option to have an alarm sound when the session is complete.
