PPG Paint Information

You can use PPG paint colors to accent your trim.

PPG manufactures indoor and outdoor paint under the PPG Pittsburgh and PPG Porter product lines. PPG makes paint products for residential, commercial and industrial use. PPG markets its paint products through painting supply and hardware stores.

Product Types

Products in the PPG Pittsburgh and PPG Porter paint line include interior paints, exterior paints, primers and exterior paint stains. PPG Porter also carries a line interior paint stains. PPG manufactures latex, acrylic and enamel paint products.

Finishes

PPG Pittsburgh and PPG Porter interior paint finishes include matte, flat, eggshell, pearl and semi-gloss. PPG Pittsburgh and PPG Porter outdoor paint finishes include flat, satin, semi-gloss and eggshell. PPG Pittsburgh also manufactures sun-proof exterior paint and stains designed to resist fading. PPG Porter markets a line of wood staining products designed to resist the effects of weathering from outdoor exposure.

Trial Colors

You can order 2 oz. samples of paint to try on your existing walls before you commit to purchasing a paint color. PPG also offers paper paint samples measuring 8 inches wide and 12 inches long. The 2 oz. samples cost $4.99 each, and the paper paint samples cost $2.99, at the time of publication.
