About Line Oil Analysis
Oil lubricates and cools hot moving mechanical parts in industrial machinery. The oil's composition must be free from contaminants that can damage internal machinery parts. Line oil analysis provides a view of the oil's structure for preventing machinery failures.

Oil-lubricated machinery uses basic sensors for monitoring oil temperature, vibration and pressure. However, this indirect analysis does not monitor the oil's impurities that can slowly deteriorate the machine's moving parts.

Newly engineered line oil analysis sensors are available for use in slow- to high-speed machinery. The sensors reside within the oil's flow, creating a continuous data stream to an attached computer. A notification is sent to the machinery operator if the sensor detects debris, such as metal shavings. The early notification of debris prevents major internal damage over time.
