Identification
-
An MA Audio 12-inch subwoofer produces a low-pitched sound for deep bass music when attached to an amplifier. The subwoofer's resonating power comes from dual voice coils, resulting in a subwoofer that can attach to multiple subwoofers for a large bass system.
Mono Wiring Configuration
-
For a mono, or single-channel, connection, attach a wire lead from the amplifier's positive connector to one of the two positive connectors on the subwoofer. Connect another wire lead from that same subwoofer's positive connector to the second subwoofer's positive connector. Connect the negative wires in the same configuration for the negative connectors on the amplifier and subwoofer.
-
Bridged Wiring Configuration
-
A bridged wiring configuration gives the listener more audio power output than the mono method. Attach a wire lead from the amplifier's positive connector to the subwoofer's positive connector. Connect a separate wire lead from the subwoofer's negative connector to the second subwoofer's positive connector. Last, attach a wire lead from the second subwoofer's negative connector to the amplifier's negative connector.
