What Is a Good-Quality Exterior Paint?
When choosing the right paint for the exterior of your home, you need to understand that you are saving money by spending money on high-quality paint. The better the quality, the less likely you will need to paint again for several years.

Value
-
A good-quality paint is a better long-term value for your budget. Low-quality paint may take several layers to cover, while a higher-quality, more expensive paint will need only one or two coats. In addition, good-quality paint should easily hide the previous paint job underneath.
Time Frame
-
It would be unusual for even the best paint to last more than a decade, but good-quality paint can last up to 10 years. However, harsh weather conditions may shorten the time.

Product Warranty
-
A manufacturer of good-quality paint will back up its product with a warranty. A warranty is usually limited to a certain number of years and covers only replacement paint; labor is not covered under the warranty. Consider a warranty more like a guideline and less like an absolute.
