Where to Find Grow Lights

Grow lights have the full spectrum of light plants need.

Grow lights are specifically made to provide plants with the type of light needed to be able to grow. These special lights are available in many places, although some stores may have a limited selection of sizes and strengths.

Home Centers

Grow lights are commonly available at large home centers such as Home Depot and Lowe's. These lights are often located in the lighting section, near the fluorescent lights. Fixtures for grow lights can be found there as well.

Discount Stores

Discount stores such as Walmart, Kroger's, Target and Fred Meyer typically have garden areas that have grow lights. If there is no garden area in the store, or if it is the off-season, these stores will have grow lights in the lighting section, though the selection may be small.

Online

There are dozens of suppliers of grow lights online. Some of these suppliers have an emphasis on gardening, while others focus more on providing a variety of lighting options. An online supplier often has the best selection of grow lights, but buying locally will offer more of a chance to ask questions about the lights before purchasing them.
