Care for a Circulon Griddle Pan
A Circulon griddle pan is an asset to any kitchen. Whether you want to make the perfect pancakes or fry up some tasty burgers, your Circulon griddle pan is the piece of cookware to use. Care for a Circulon griddle pan properly, and it will last a lifetime. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Cooking Temperature
-
Circulon griddle pans should never be overheated, because this can cause the nonstick coating to wear away. Use the pan for frying and baking at temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. You should not use your griddle pan in the broiler, which usually requires the temperature to be around 550 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cleaning
-
Rinse off your griddle pan under warm water immediately after use. Fill the sink with warm, soapy water and use a soft nylon brush to scrub it clean. Rinse it well under warm tap water, then dry it thoroughly with a clean rag.

Restoring the Nonstick Coating
-
If foods begin to stick to the griddle pan, the nonstick coating is likely worn away. To restore the coating, mix one part white vinegar with three parts warm water. Cover the pan with the mixture, put it on the stove and let the mixture boil for about 10 minutes. Let the pan cool down completely, discard the vinegar mixture, then wash the pan with warm, soapy water.
Cooking
-
Protect the coating on your griddle pan by using plastic, rubber or wooden utensils when cooking--don't use metal, which can damage the pan. Avoid using cooking sprays on your Circulon griddle pan, because they can damage the coating. Instead, use butter, margarine, olive oil or peanut oil.
