Sheet Metal Bending Tools
Sheet metal bending tools appear in many industries, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) for duct fabrication, as well as automotive manufacturing and repair and all types of machine shops. Sheet metal bending tools range from simple hand tools to floor-mounted machines. Does this Spark an idea?

Bending Brake
-
A bending brake is a stationary piece of equipment that creates long, straight bends. Basic bending brakes are manually operated and consist of a bending bar that clamps against a metal sheet, and a hinged plate that presses against and bends the material.
Press Brake
-
This advanced version of the bending brake employs preformed dies, called shoes, and a lever to create more-complicated bends than what a standard bending brake can produce. Some press brakes are manually operated, while others receive assistance from pneumatic or hydraulic force.

Seaming and Bending Tools
-
HVAC duct fabricators use seaming and bending tools to manually bend sheet metal into HVAC ductwork. Seamers and benders look like pliers, but have flat, clamping plates instead of serrated, gripping jaws.
