MindWebs OTR Information

Mindwebs was a radio show broadcast between 1976 and 1984 featuring short science fiction stories. Mindwebs is classified as an old time radio, or OTR, drama because of its use of music, character voices and sound effects.

  1. Broadcast

    • The Mindwebs series of radio dramas were broadcast by WHA Radio of Madison, Wisconsin. Approximately 150 shows were broadcast, usually in a 30-minute format.

    Stories

    • The Mindwebs series featured stand alone stories written by science fiction writers, including Arthur C. Clarke, Robert Silverburg, Alfred Bester and Norman Spinrad. Each story was read by Michael Hansen.

    Radio

    • OTR is classified as radio dramas, mystery shows and science fiction dramas broadcast over AM and FM radio frequencies from the beginning of commercial radio to the 1960s and 70s. OTR dramas of the 1960s and 70s are sometimes referred to as revival radio.
